Toyota Investing 1,650 Crores for Increasing Productivity

Toyota recently announced that they would be investing 1650 crores for increasing their manufacturing productivity. They are planning to produce 1 lakh vehicles per year from their factories.

According to the statement released by the Toyota company, they have the plan to produce 3,10,000 vehicles for 2013 which will be possible with 898 crores. Toyota motors said it will be offering new employment opportunities also. The existing manufacturing facility at Bangalore is extending their industrial production capacity from 1.5 lakh to 2.1 lakh units for 2012.

The sales of existing models Etios Liva and Etios has been encouraging and are gearing up for future growth. They are launching the new cars in the small car segment for which they already got the good response from the consumers with 4000 advance bookings already done. They are coming back with Etios sedan in December 2011.

In addition, the company will also begin transmissions for manufacturing Alto and Etios models in 2013. They are also planning to expand their market by designing cars that suit the Indian market.
