There are about 11.6 million car sales in the year 2010 in USA and the automakers are expecting a million more sales in 2011. For this they are targeting the younger buyers because the people in these age are very much fond of cars and the automakers are found targeting them to increase their sales.

But the main problems for the automakers are the rise in the oil prices and the GM says that the gas prices could top $4 a gallon this year. The amount of sales also depends on the number of jobs created in different industries, easier credit and a continued flow of attractive and affordable vehicles. Although unemployment begins to fall, people still have less disposable income, in the great middle of the market. The consumer are looking for the cars which are economical.

Although gas prices are raised the truck sales went to 18 percent and as well the sales of the cars also increased in the year2010. The lenders are also found to be taking reasonable risks. Auto loan approval rates for consumers with FICO scores from 620 to 749 are seen to be recovered to 85-90 percent range from 75 percent in late 2009, according to CNW Marketing.

To satisfy the consumers and to protect them from the higher gas prices, automakers are introducing lot of hybrids in to the market which uses electricity as the fuel. Many leading automakers released their hybrids like Chevrolet Volt, Nissan Leaf, Prius V, Ford Focus EV, Fiat 500 and the Chevrolet Sonic etc., This shows that the industry is serious about taking fuel economy to a higher level.

Mobile advertising is the process of promoting the business and advertising through the mobile phones or through any other mobile devices to increase the sales and for wealth maximization. The message can be sent to the target customers as text message and it directly reaches the customer. The Mobile Marketing Association gives the guidelines for mobile advertising agencies.

Mobile advertising can be done as a Mobile Web Banner or Mobile Web Poster, SMS advertising, MMS advertising, advertising within mobile games and mobile videos, in-application advertising etc. Through mobile advertising two way communication is possible i.e. the business can send information to the owner and also can receive the feedback from the customer. As mobile is an interactive mass media, advertisers send the message to one of the customer as advertisement on mobile, and the same message is forwarded to a friend of the recipient. This allows users to become a part of advertising campaign and also increases the market.

With the advent of 3G, mobile advertising has become very easy because 3G provides services like faster data connectivity, uninterrupted video streaming on mobile phones, exchange of heavy pictures and videos, increased call volumes and support for multimedia data applications.

Mobile advertising plays an important role in the SMS marketing because the SMS is sent directly to the mobile phone of the target audience by using a mobile device. To get a wide response for a mobile advertising campaign the best way is to deliver the message through SMS to the customers.

The effectiveness of a mobile advertising campaign can be measured in number of ways like click through rates (views), conversion rates, such as click-to-call rates and other degrees of interactive measurement.

The main objective of every website is to rank top on the search engines. This is possible when the people search for your website with the related keywords. Basically you should know the factors, which influences the search engine ranking, so that you can focus your efforts on them.

There are two main factors that influence your website in search engine rankings. They are on-page factors and off-page factors. The on-page factor influences directly on your website and are hosted on server such as, content, Meta tags and header tags. While the off-page factors encompasses things that affects outside the website and influences your rankings such as, link popularity.

Things you can do to improve search engines rankings
Good content, Page titles and Meta tags are the three major factors to increase your website ranking on search engine results pages. Beside these 3 things there are few other things that can improve your rankings. They are:

Use Target Keywords in the Content: Find the keywords that users frequently type in the search engines to find their sites. Get these target keywords in the content of your pages, in titles, in tag descriptions and at all the places where they make sense in real sentences.

Get High Value Links: The efficient way to determine High Value Links is to install Google Toolbar and use the Google’s Page Rank to determine link value. This is because if there is more High Value Links it can lead to better search engine popularity. It is better to have few high quality linking than the than many irrelevant links.

Relevant Value Added Content: Append the appropriate value added content for your website. This includes articles, blogs, news, and relevant tools to your business or industry. If your site has 100 pages of good quality content then there is a possibility of ranking top, than the site that has only 10 pages.

Create A Site Map: The major search engines like, Google, Yahoo have their standards for website rankings. It enables your visitors and search engines to navigate your website.

Use More Text Than Images: To display all the essential names, content, or links use more text than images. Search Engines do not recognize text contained in images or flash content. If there is a need to use images, then always use the Alt tag to describe the link.

Revisit Keywords On Regular Basis: There are several ways to search for the similar text and the search patterns vary frequently. You have to use the keywords according to those changes.

Submit Site To Directories: These directories include Yahoo and DMOZ. DMOZ is the Open Directory Project and is used to power thousands of sites and directories. If your site is included in this directory it gets you links to 1000′s of other sites.

This information suggests the ways to improve the rankings of your websites at search engine results page. Besides these, you may also require some other suggestions, depending on your need.

In recent times, many retail businesses are considering Internet marketing as their preferred marketing solution to reach consumers. Many businesses consider taking their business online an issue with Internet Marketing. However, it’s about understanding, and utilizing current marketing trends effectively to enhance a business’s web presence. With Internet marketing, automotive businesses can take their services to higher levels.

Role of Internet marketing in automotive industry
When it comes to the automotive industry, Internet marketing plays a huge roll.

24/7 services: Internet marketing brings 24/7 services to your business. As soon as you implement Internet marketing, your services are on air 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Your services are made available to everyone through various Internet marketing methods like SEO, PPC, and Local search marketing etc.

Cost effective and flexible: Marketing for any automotive company through traditional media is expensive and the length of time your ad is visible to your consumer is limited. It is different when it comes to Internet marketing. Internet Marketing is cost effective and stays visible for longer periods of time and also appeals to a wider audience. This helps your automobile business reach both your existing and potential customers more effectively.

Improve credibility: Your website is an online representation of your business and it is your mouthpiece. All information about the company, and its products, are available on the website. Internet marketing provides your customers a place to read information about your business & services

High returns on investments: Costs of Internet marketing for your business are significantly lower when compared to the costs traditional offline marketing methods; such as TV, radio, and print. Internet marketing can represent your automobile business in a better way too. You can laser-target your audience very specifically based on multiple categories such as zip code & city. This means, ROI for Internet marketing is far better when compared to offline marketing, which works on mass marketing basis.

Two way communicative marketing: Anyone who searches for an automobile online should find your website in no time through online marketing. Search Engines provide an insight on how your potential customers are searching for services and their response to the various marketing methods you apply. There is two-way communication between you and your customers through Internet marketing unlike traditional marketing.

Add value and satisfaction: Internet marketing adds value to your automobile business with its tailor made solutions that are suitable for you. There is great satisfaction knowing the result of each penny you spend on Internet marketing.

Your automobile business can achieve measurable and immediate results by implementing Internet marketing. Internet marketing can help make your website easy-to-find, user-friendly, and convert leads.

There is improvement in outlook of overall small businesses expenditure. Many entrepreneurs are getting ready for investing in marketing and IT.

According to latest FedEx Office of the Times National Small Business Survey, 42 percent of the small business owners are likely to spend more on marketing and advertising in this year.

46 percent will be spent on improving online presence.

44 percent will be sent on print materials, newsletters or direct mails.

43 percent would be spent on brochures.

39 percent will go for Yellow Pages listings.

37 percent each will go for fliers and signs, banners or posters.

36 percent will be spent for social networking.

32 percent for newspaper advertisements.

There was less expenditure by 34 percent of small business owners on marketing and advertising, previous year. Around 31 percent of the small business owners said that the decision had a negative impact on their business. Now-a-days because of increase in affordability and almost free options, there is increase in expenditure for marketing and advertising. Many of them are not cutting their spending. Marketing has a lot of benefits. Just some time and money are enough for marketing and advertising.

According to CDWs recent IT monitor, small businesses are investing hugely on IT by just following the large and mid sized businesses. Only 6 percent of small business owners are interested in hiring IT personnel in the next six month. There is not much increase in hiring when we consider investing. There is decrease in interest in hiring new IT professionals about 4 percent. It is a very good idea for investing in technology for all the small businesses. Now-a-days, there a lot of new innovative technology related products in the market. They will be very much helpful in increasing productivity and to operate more efficiently.

Television advertising is most powerful form of advertising traditionally, as it is a combination of audio and video advertising messages with unlimited varieties, unlike other means of advertising like newspapers, magazines, radio stations, and websites. Based on research reports, people spend four and half-hours watching TV as it is most common leisure activity. As a result, many times television is considered as ‘king’ of advertising media as it has so much impact on people. It is also considered as ‘king’ of advertising costs (expensive).

Before a product is advertised, market research is conducted to know the reaction of consumer on the product. Television marketing should follow many strict standards (restrictions). Television advertisements have proved to be successful in election campaign of a politician as they influence the public views. In television advertisement, animated advertisements are very popular (Kellogg’s) and are long running (series of advertisements can be done). According to OECD communications outlook 2001, in US Television advertising shared 37% of total advertising revenue.

Advantages of TV advertising:

Though television advertising may not make an instant sale like search engine advertising, it strongly influences customers and slowly persuades the target market.

Television advertising enables the product to hit large number of people (at regional and national level) in short span of time.

Television helps in conveying a message (advertisement) with visuals, sound and action.

Advertisements can also target local people with independent stations and local cable network channels.

Different segments of people like children, house wives, young people are targeted by organization through different channels (cartoon) at different timings (time at which many people watch TV).

They provide flexibility and selectivity options for customers to choose a product offered by many companies.

Creative television advertisements can easily attract people and makes them to buy products. This is very advantageous for small businesses.

Disadvantages of TV advertising:

Costs involved in television advertising is very high as it need to be repeated for many times and so it costs more to air advertisements on television channels.

Television advertisements are short, so they do not convey more about the product.

Television advertisements are sometimes obscure (mess up), as they do not show relevant information on products.

If television advertisements are not creative then people do not show interest to see them and do not buy the products.

Some times television advertisements will be in such a way that people do not believe it, so they do not buy the products.

It is difficult to modify television advertisements unlike advertisements of print media.

Producing a television advertisement involves hiring scriptwriters, actors, video editors, or an advertising agency. So, it is a complicated procedure.

Television advertisements have both advantages and disadvantages. When rightly chosen and right presented based on the purpose helps businesses to reach their target customers flawlessly.
