In Geneva 2010 car show, Porsche launches a fast and economical hybrid car. This cool looking and stylish concept car is named as Porsche 918 Spyder.
This concept car is equipped with a high-revving V-8 engine. With this powerful engine it could revs up to 9200 rpm and produces more than 500 bhp. Hence, it can hit the road at 100km/h (62mph) in just 3.2 sec. The top speed of this car is 198 mph, so it is quite faster than the hallowed Carrera GT.
Porsche 918 Spyder yield 78 mpg with an emissions level of just 70 grams of C02 per kilometer. So this justified that it is good green car.
911 Spyder provides four distinct driving modes:
E Drive
A electric power mode which could give maximum range up to 16 miles.
Hybrid mode
An economical, and high efficient mode. This is achieved by Electric power and gasoline power.
Sport Hybrid mode
A powerful mode where both drive systems maximize performance.
Race Hybrid mode
It is utmost performance mode of this car which can provide top speed performance on race tracks.
